Indian Arm Whales

Indian Arm Whales by Howard Smith, 2007, watercolour on paper
Dimensions are 8.5” x 11”
Whales are frolicking in Indian arm and the geese overseeing the fun. A whimsical watercolour painted while anchored in the arm while the artist was exploring his aboriginal artistic roots. Indian Arm is a favorite destination for boaters coming out of Vancouver. It is quite amazing to see the wildlife, eagles and bears, so close to the city lights. A great get away. The whales however do not visit the arm anymore having to pass the gauntlet of the Vancouver harbor.
