This last weekend you could have found me at the 49th Parallel Cafe in Ladysmith, BC on Sunday afternoon painting up a storm.
We had a draw and one lucky person who dropped by won the painting! A $200.00 value just for buying a coffee and making a donation!
What a great deal!
I hope to do it again soon so I will let everyone know the next time!

We we have officially closed our studio. It was great having it but we both have to concentrate on our boat. It needs alot of attention now that it is almost finished. We have to paint the interior, hookup the propane systems and just basically finish up a few things then load it up with our stuff.
I may still be teaching at Vic West Community Centre for a couple of weeks this summer but regardless we will continue to paint.
We still have an ongoing show at ' The Lazy Gecko' in Sooke right across from the Home Hardware. The Gecko still has great fresh mexican food and is now serving beer and wine. Say hello to Deanne and Sergio when you drop in.
If you are in the area look for our RV at Park Isle Marine on the West Coast Road, oceanside, just 5 minutes out of Sooke on the way to Jordan River.
The Lazy Gecko Art Show

Dianne and her Husband Sergio have a lovely restaurant in Sooke and I am displaying my paintings there until the end of April.
Be sure to stop by and taste their great Mexican Food - I have tried their Tacos and Tortilla Soup. Very nice fresh food!
Good coffee and friendly service.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that my new phone number is 250 634 8128 and I apologize to those of you who were trying to call us in the Holiday Season.
We changed the phone number which we had for 20 years to a Victoria number...thought it was about time since we have been here for over a year now.
Our boat is in dry dock as we had an engine room fire in September...so we are staying put in the meantime. Probably til spring and then maybe on to new adventures.
In the meantime I will be having a month long art show starting February 1 til 28th at
520 Herald Street, Victoria, BC @ Island Furniture & Bazaar
which will run to the end of February. I hope to showcase some of the paintings I have done recently and the prices will be half the price of a gallery show!
Howard may show some of his work too but it will be my work mainly.
You are all invited to the Opening which will be a wine and cheese at 520 Herald St., Victoria @ Island Furniture & Bazaar on February 3 at 6 PM to kick off the month long show!
We also hope to have some great local music as well.
If you are in town please come and say hi.
I will be donating 10% of all sales to Heart and Stroke foundation in acknowledgement of February being Heart and Stroke month.
Hope to see you all there!

Well here we are in Calgary. We were in Victoria a week ago selling art in Bastion Square and Howard and I decided on the spur of the moment to follow the grandchildren to Alberta. We had a great trip then we went our own way and they continued on their way to visit the other grandma in Saskatchewan. We ended up in Calgary selling art.
Bastion Square really didnt work out for us very well. It was expensive and didnt have the traffic that anyone needs to make a living. Most of the artisans are down in business this year. We decided to take along our artwork and maybe try a few other markets on our way. We plan to do that in the future when we travel across Canada so we thought it would be fun to experiment.
Very nice people here at the Blackfoot market where we ended up. We will be doing the Airdrie market on Wednesday, Thursday we will be doing the Stephen Avenue Mall in Calgary at the Green Market and Friday Saturday we will be at the Blackfoot Market in SE Calgary.
Visit us if you are in town.
Today I was painting in a graveyard. There were some homeless guys visiting with each other and sharing a drink.
They were surprised that I would paint them. They thought they might be spoiling my view and were delighted that they were
the subject of the painting.
The homeless people I have met in the city so far are friendly and polite. Just people having hard times mostly. Addiction, Mental Health issues and just down on their luck.
Click on the painting to visit the Blog to see more of what I have been doing this past week.
Enjoy and comment. I would love to hear from you.
